Holistic After-School Care

Confident Young Minds provides crucial after-school care, serving as a vital bridge between school and home. Our program, aimed at K-12 students, employs an SEL-integrated curriculum that nurtures the whole child. We create an inclusive, welcoming space that values each student, setting clear goals for engagement and development. By embracing diversity and encouraging collaboration and communication, we foster a sense of gratitude. The result? A fun, engaging environment that kids love!

Student Participant Eligibility

After-school care is often a staple in many families' routines. With our tuition-free program, families can focus on what truly matters - their child's needs. To qualify for our program, simply complete the online referral form. We'll handle the rest - submitting your child's information to your insurance provider and notifying you once your student(s) are approved.

Creating Community is Key

Our program revolves around fostering a safe, collaborative community that includes students, parents, and school staff. We emphasize family engagement activities to support student growth beyond our program. Moreover, our team collaborates with educators to ensure continuity and consistency in the support system both at school and at home.

Individualized & Peer focused Therapy

Mental and behavioral check-ins
Our Therapy sessions focus on working towards an optimistic future, developing positive coping methods, as well as boosting self-esteem, self-confidence, and other positive states and traits in children and adolescents. We focus on root cause analysis and treatments.

Here we focus on behavioral and expressive therapy techniques to assist in underlining issues.

Healthy Relationships & Mental Growth

Interpersonal and life skills development
Our program puts quite a bit of emphasis on the development of self and interpersonal skills. We develop these by integrating opportunities for students to get to know their peers, establishing goals, skills-building activities, teaching positivity and growth mindset, hosting mental health check-ins, focusing on peer relationships, giving guided conflict resolution safe space, working on articulation and public speaking, etc.

This is the opportunity to grow youth in areas that promote a well-rounded individual.

Group Project-Based Activities

Project-based Learning
During these activities, we are able to foster strong mental, academic, and problem-solving skills through an array of projects and group activities that involve collaboration, academic skills, physical and mental development

Often times we are able to apply relevant academic skill sets (mathematical computation, science, memory, practical life, language, etc) to these activities.
